Ela Skorska is a Polish-born cosmopolitan. After spending a few years hitch-hiking around Europe and living between France and England, she settled in the UK. Throughout all these years of a vagabond, one thing was constant, her passion for photography, which she expressed in many ways and styles. It eventually led her to become a mature student at Manchester School of Art last year, which allowed her to focus and refine her artistic direction.
Presently, she is developing her practice in abstract and experimental photography. Fascinated by Freudian influence on surrealism – the theory of the unconscious, and captured by geometry, she concluded to express herself through black and white photography, embodying its subtle elegance that blends the line between photography and painting.
