The rubbed out code on the marina gate where I reside, a signature trademark of human presence and behavior. Since the cipher didn’t change for years, buttons took such an impact from fingers typing in it is clearly visible which combination of numbers make up the code. What I find fascinating about it is a collective ‘effort’ in creating such a mark, practically thoughtless process, yet of an impressive indentation that remains.

I have been exploring the theme of marks and traces generated by human influence in detail.
It appears I found myself in one way of thinking, and I am sure it happened to all of us at some point. It is like discovering an album that you love and listen to it on repeat for months instead of exploring further. Time to look where I did not look, see what I did not see, develop my point of view.
